SURFACE PREPARATION
Ensure surface to be varnished is clean, dry, sound and free from wax, oil or any other
contamination. If wax has been used clean the surface thoroughly with white spirit prior to sanding.

Bare wood should be sanded to a smooth surface, always working with the grain.
Sound previously varnished surfaces should be lightly sanded to provide a key.

New concrete
must be at least 30 days old prior to varnishing plus 1 week per cm if the concrete is above 4 cm thickness.
The moisture content of the substrate may not exceed 4%.
Concrete must be clean, dry and free from any surface laitance (a weak dusty layer on new concrete) and any other surface contaminants such as oils, grease, dirt etc. prior to applying the varnish. Not suitable for direct use on power floated concrete.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Base and activator are supplied in correct proportions. First stir the base component, then add activator gradually to the base, and mix thoroughly. DO NOT MIX PART UNITS.

Wait 5 min after mixing. Do not store mixed product (residue) in a closed can. Badly activated or incorrectly mixed materials will affect performance and may cause early failure or discolouration.
When used outdoors on top of pre-painted surfaces: If the old paint is not UV-resistant, the use of Multi-surface PU Heavy-Duty Varnish is not recommended.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS
Application temperature 10-35°C (at least 3°C above dew point) and RH < 85%.
